Students, young people, amateur astronomers and the public taking part in real space science. It is free: the project gives the training, the tools and a community, from complete beginner to confident citizen scientist.
The flagship. With the International Astronomical Search Collaboration, participants search professional observatories' images for moving objects that may be asteroids; astronomers review each find before it goes to the Minor Planet Center. Two cycles a year, about five months each. You need a Windows PC, a steady connection and curiosity.
